About me
Hi!I'm Sebastián Vansteenkiste (just Seba for most), I live in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
I finished all courses for the Information Systems Engineering in my city's technological university but never got a degree since I started working as a programmer in 2013. Since then I've alternated between being a developer and team lead and learned several technologies as projects demanded them.
I believe quality of the delivered product (both in what the user sees, as well as the innards that only the development team has to deal with) should always be paramount, and that though deadlines must be complied with, they should also be set and reviewed responsibly: if developers and testers have to crunch in overtime to make it, then management isn't doing things right.
I'm looking for challenging work with flexible hours. I'm open to both leading and developing positions and to work with technologies with which I'm familiar with as well as those unknown (provided I can get the time to learn them). Speaking of learning: leaving aside the basics covered in the schools/university I went, my English is self-taught, as well as my coding skills.

I Worked in the development team of a 60+ employee (across development, devops, testing, reporting and data teams) project for managing financial data and world-wide resource allocation and costs forecasting for project management; responsibilities varied from developing new functionalities, leading/estimating scope-item (story tickets) development, bug-fixing, performing code reviews and coaching new developers that entered the project.

Led a team of developers while implementing two applications, both Android/iOS Xamarin-based. One for displaying both org-chart and non-hierarchical employee relationships and facilitate contact information exchanges; the other for workspace seat and conference room reservations with social and geo-fencing capabilities.
I coordinated efforts with the software architect and coded a few tickets, but mostly kept all members of the development team in sync with the current priorities as defined by the client and the Project Manager, ensuring that demanding deadlines were met while maintaining code quality and avoiding burn-out.
